Ready for a bicycle ride towards Palameenmadu? Start near Kallady Bridge. Turn on Munich Vittoria Friendship Road. Have a stop in Village Empowerment Academy and Picasso Art Academy, 150 meters away. Observe fishermen, fishing boats, wildlife, birds as you proceed along the lagoon. Stop for a boat ride and a snack in Batti Lagoon Park. Then proceed up to Palameenmadu area, where you can climb Batticaloa’s Lighthouse, visit the Batticaloa Lagoon Environmental Resource Centre and its Ecopark, have a nice view on the estuary, walk on the beach, and even buy nice souvenirs in the Palmyrah Development Board Sales Center. You can also visit Bone Island by taking an engine boat in Batti Lagoon Park or near the lighthouse.
