Yes it is very basic… but the normal way of life in the village of Kudumbimalai. Here we sleep on the floor, you’ll also do this. Please note that staying in a homestay is not necessarily cheaper than staying in a guesthouse. We do not sell “rooms”, but “experiences” where guests share the life of families who open their door and their hearts to accommodate them and give them an insider experience of their lifestyle and culture. This experience has a price, and our minimum charge for a non A/C room is 2500 Rs. Therefore, if you are on a budget trip and can not afford this rate, you might rather check the rate of a non A/C room in a basic guesthouse, in order to find a place to match your budget.
